🌟 NZ ITF Hawke’s Bay – End of Year Grading 2025 🌟
100+ Participants | Biggest Turnout in the Region | Strongest NZ ITF Numbers Yet
What an incredible way to finish the year! Today our Hawke’s Bay NZ ITF family came together in record-breaking numbers — over 100 participants taking part in both the final training and the end-of-year grading. This is officially our largest regional turnout ever, showing the unity, strength, and spirit of the Original Taekwon-Do alive and well in Hawke’s Bay.
🌏 Inclusive & United
We were proud to see both members with disabilities and non-disabled members standing side-by-side, training together, supporting one another, and demonstrating why NZ ITF continues to lead the way in true inclusiveness and authentic ITF standards.
📘 Our Grading System – Strong Standards, 2x Per Year
With NZ ITF being the strongest in the region across all areas, we hold two major gradings each year (June & December).
In the two weeks leading up to today, all students completed:
- Breaking
- Theory
- Self-defence requirements
- Sparring
- Fitness assessments
- Technical checks
Today’s session brought everyone together for a powerful 1-hour technical training followed by the final pattern performance to complete their grading.
🏛️ Centre Transformations Completed
This grading also marked the final stage of improvements inside our training centre. We are proud to now honour both:
- General Choi Hong Hi, Father & Founder of Taekwon-Do
- ITF President Prof. GM Ri Yong Son
Their presence in our centre reminds every member of our history, lineage, and the meaning behind the art we practice.
