Dear HB ITF Practitioners, Supporters, Friends, Colleagues,

The New Year has finally arrived with many goals and tasks ahead of us all. Since 2006 March, the Hawke’s Bay ITF has grown significantly and achieved all goals it has set out to do so far. Looking back on the year 2011, we have achieved even far greater success than the following years with showing our great courage and true Taekwon-Do spirit at the

2011 HB ITF Regional Championships

2011 ITF New Zealand National Championships

2011 Successful Colour and Black Belt Gradings

2011 Successful School Demonstration’s

Successful attendance at ITF World Championships in Pyongyang, DPR Korea

We as practitioners must continue to apply General Choi Hong Hi’s Last Words in the upcoming future. This is then a way we can show our respect to our founder General Choi Hong Hi.

The future of HB ITF in 2012 is very bright. We must all work together in our suburb areas to promote the original Taekwon-Do. For the strength and unity within the Hawke’s Bay ITF, we must encourage as many clubs and other students regardless of affiliation to join under the banner of HB ITF. This year we have the following to focus on as best as possible as one big Taekwon-Do family:

The HB ITF demonstration team will be visiting schools during the New Year to promote the original Taekwon-Do. The Hawke’s Bay ITF is planning on expanding even more to as many school systems this year, in aide of the growth and development of Taekwon-Do in Hawke’s Bay.

The Special Needs Taekwon-Do will also increase even more and become even more well known to the public eye Regionally, Nationally and Internationally. I aim that by the end of 2012, 30 or so countries will have set up Special Needs Taekwon-Do like we have done here in New Zealand. I wish all HB ITF Members the best of luck for 2012, let us keep continuing with our goals and aims this year.

Yours in Taekwon-Do,

Mr. Benjamin Evans
